Winter Drive

Winter is a challenging season for the impoverished population, particularly homeless peoples, in Bangladesh. To help them in combating severe cold, AKF distributed 500 blankets to destitute people of Natore in December 2016.

In December 2018 The foundation distributed 750 blankets to destitute people of Hobigonj.

In December 2019 The foundation distributed 870 blankets and sweaters to destitute people of Noakhali.

In January 2021, a total of 500 blankets were distributed to the students of Baitun-Nur Hafizia Nurani Kindergarten Madrasa and Orphanage in Mirpur to prevent the cold wave of winter.

In December 2025 The foundation distributed 2000 warm clothes & 200 Blankets to Heed Bangladesh Foundation. Additionally, through the volunteers of “A Higher Purpose Foundation” we were able to distribute the clothes in Rangpur, Gazipur, Banani and Uttara.

Flood Relief

Exceptional rainfall in India and Nepal resulted in extensive flooding on rivers downstream in Bangladesh in August, 2017. Millions of houses were washed away and more than 6 million people were affected. AKF visited a small village in Belkuchi, Sirajganj on 22nd September, 2017 to distribute relief packages to 500 afflicted families.

In June 2022, Relief packages which included food items were distributed to massively flood-affected 1000 victims of Sunamganj in Bangladesh.

In October 2024, Abinta Kabir Foundation Contributed 4 Lacs 18 Thousand BDT to the ministry of disaster management and relief Bangladesh to help the flood affected people. Additionally the foundation helped the community of chittagong hill tracts to reconstruct the damaged houses and school due to the heavy rainfall and flood during the monsoon that year.

Water for Life

The tribal community in the remote village of Ramgarh area in Khagrachari were deprived of a clean water source in the hill tracts. A Submersible Pump was installed by Abinta Kabir Foundation to help the Ramgarh village community and the local school students to ensure a source for clean water.

Korail Slum Support

Korail slum is the biggest slum community in Dhaka which houses millions of underprivileged people. This slum community has been affected by fire related incidents several times. Due to the congested nature of the slum dwelling, fire spreads too quickly. In March 2017, AKF distributed more than 500 mosquito nets and plastic floor mats.
